Navigating the New European Travel Authorization

We're here to share some important news that will affect many of our travelers planning to visit Europe from 2024 onwards. The European Union has announced a new travel authorization system known as the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS). This system will be implemented starting from 2024 and will affect travelers from over 60 visa-exempt countries.

What is ETIAS?

ETIAS stands for European Travel Information and Authorization System. It's not a visa, but an authorization for visa-free travel. This means that even if you're from a country that currently doesn't require a visa to enter Europe, you'll need to obtain this authorization before your trip.

Who will need ETIAS?

An estimated 1.4 billion people from over 60 visa-exempt countries will be required to have this travel authorization to enter most European countries. This includes travelers from countries like the United States, Canada, Australia, and many others.

How to Apply for ETIAS?

The application process for ETIAS will be done online. Prospective travelers should apply for ETIAS certification at least a month before their planned travel date. The process will involve answering a series of security questions and paying a minor fee.

Why ETIAS?

The main goal of ETIAS is to improve the security of European countries by pre-screening travelers and assessing any potential security or migration risks. It's part of a broader initiative to ensure safer travel within the European Union.

We understand that this new requirement may seem daunting, but rest assured, we're here to guide you through these changes. As always, our goal is to ensure your travels are as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We'll continue to provide updates on ETIAS and other travel-related news.
